How to restore AWS WordPress LightSail Instances

  2. Navigate to the list of services and select “LightSail.”
  3. Click on the “Instances” tab to see a list of your WordPress instances.
  4. Locate the instance for which you’d like to create a snapshot.
  5. Click on the three-dot menu on the right side of the instance, then select “Create snapshot.”
  6. Give your snapshot a descriptive name and click “Create.”


You’ve now created a snapshot of your AWS WordPress LightSail instance, which will be stored and available for future use.

Step 2: Restoring a Snapshot

Restoring a snapshot allows you to revert your WordPress instance to a previous state, which can be useful in case of data loss, corruption, or other issues. To restore a snapshot, follow these steps:

  2. Click on the “Snapshots” tab to see a list of all available snapshots.

  6. Click “Create” to initiate the restoration process.
